Grandma's Sausage Balls

This is an amazing addition to breakfast and is so simple to make. It can be a wonderful addition to any holiday table.

Ingredients
- Pork Medium Seasoned Breakfast Sausage
- (1 cup) baking mix (Pioneer Brand, Bisquick or your homemade version)
- (1 cup + additional for garnish) Shredded Cheddar
- Optional Ingredients include shredded apples, sage or onions
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place 1 pound chub of sausage and crumble into a large bowl. Add baking mix and cheese and mix thoroughly with your hands. Roll into 2 inch ball shape and place on greased cookie sheet or roasting pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove pan and sprinkle additional cheddar onto the sausage. Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
***** If optional ingredients are used, they should be shredded or chopped finely and added to the mix with the baking mix and cheese.
